Research and Writing Specialist Clare E. Freeman graduated magna cum laude from the Ave Maria School of Law when it was in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Hawai`i at Hilo. Clare was a member of the Ave Maria Law Review and her note Alternative Methods for Sentencing Youthful Offenders: Using Traditional Tribal Methods as a Model appears in the Winter 2006 issue of the Ave Maria Law Review. In 2004, she received Best Oralist honors in the St. Thomas More Moot Court Competition. She is licensed to practice in the State of New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her professional memberships include the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan and the Western District Historical Society.
