Dale Akerley is an Investigator for the Federal Public Defenders Office for the Western District of Michigan located in Marquette, Michigan. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University's police academy, where he later received certification as crime scene investigator and a crime scene photographer. Mr. Akerley began his career with the Forsyth Township Police, attaining the rank of Detective Sergeant. Before joining the Defender's Office, he also worked part-time as a Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Michigan. He was formerly a member of the Forsyth Township Volunteer Fire Department, retiring as Assistant Fire Chief.
