Research and Writing Specialist

Laura Danielson is a research and writing specialist for the Federal Public Defender’s Office. She graduated summa cum laude and first in her class from Michigan State University College of Law, where she served as the senior articles editor for the Michigan State Law Review. Ms. Danielson also holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in music from Central Michigan University.

Ms. Danielson began her career as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul L. Maloney in the Western District of Michigan. She also interned for the Honorable David W. McKeague on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and in the Research and Writing Division of the Michigan Court of Appeals in law school. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Law and the Media Committee and the Federal Bar Association.
